“The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth, constantly on the lookout for people who are totally committed to him.” 2 Chronicles 16:9

This whole journey we’re on individually and as a church has to start with prayer. And be sustained with prayer. And come into reality through prayer. It’s by praying that we make ourselves available to God to work in and through us to accomplish bigger things than we could ever imagine. Just talking to him honestly and openly is all it takes. Praise him for who he is and what he’s doing. Ask him what you want him to do in you to line your heartbeat up with his. Let him know your requests.

In 2 Corinthians 6:11-13, the apostle Paul tells the Church, “I can’t tell you how much I long for you to enter this wide-open, spacious life. We didn’t fence you in. The smallness you feel comes from within you. Your lives aren’t small, but you’re living them in a small way… Open up your lives. Live openly and expansively!” God’s heart is always directed towards leading you into a wide-open life.

As you go through the Journey Guide provided to you at church, let God speak to your heart about his will for your part in this journey. Some days, he may challenge you. Other days he will confirm what he has already placed on your heart. He meets you right where you are, and takes you where he wants you to go—if you are willing.

Some items you can be praying for during the Not Without You campaign:

Others—those who now make Eagle Brook their church home, and the thousands more that we desire to reach for Christ. You as a church turned in the names of nearly 8,000 people you know that are far from God and who you are praying for. We are praying for them too. Be vigilant and motivated to pray for your person each day, and for all of those people God wants to bring hope to through Eagle Brook in our communities and around the world.

Yourself and your family. Ask God to really grow you through this experience we’re going on as a church. Carve out some time each day to talk with him and engage with his Word. Let him fill you with insight about generous living, giving and stewardship—and the freedom that comes from a life fully trusting in his provision.

The leadership at EBC. The pastors, board and staff at Eagle Brook need your prayers for wisdom, guidance and protection. Pray for God’s direction as they work through the complex processes of city permits, funding and constructing, and all of the logistics of adding new campuses and expanding the church’s reach around the world. Pray for discernment, God’s perfect timing, and open doors.

God honors a church that prays, and watches where his Word is being sent to be present to perform on it.
